Tatsumi and Partners, Inc. served as the site landscape architects for the conversion of an existing office building facility into the new administrative offices for John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. An integral part of the conversion process was the creation of a new main entry plaza. A formal tree lined entry was created utilizing enhanced textured concrete. This new entry plaza reinforces a strong sense of “arrival” to the John Wayne Airport offices. This project won the 1998 Cornerstone Concrete Excellence Award for its entry plaza paving in the category of “Decorative Paving / Public Works."
