Tatsumi and Partners, Inc.
is a landscape architectural/planning firm serving both the public and private sectors. Since its initial formation in 1981, Tatsumi and Partners has grown to become a leader in the profession, with projects ranging from transportation enhancements such as multi-nodal transportation linkages, highways, freeways, interchanges, high occupancy vehicle lanes (HOV lanes), sound walls, streetscapes, medians, and entry feature designs; to large scale master planning, municipal beautification programs, parks and recreation and infrastructure design services. The firm has a staff of professionals with project-proven expertise in such areas as design, planning, horticulture, irrigation design, public outreach, lifecycle management, visual resource management, liability risk management, water management, image enhancement, site graphics, and computer-aided drafting and design (AutoCAD and MicroStation). With its office in Irvine, the firm has a staff with proven project experience in public works design/planning with an emphasis on maintenance, safety and cost-effectiveness. While based in Orange County, California, the firm is also licensed to practice in the states of Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico.

David Tatsumi: An Artists Vision

Mr. Tatsumi is a licensed landscape architect with a wide range of experiences in the landscape architectural field spanning over two decades. Representative activities include:

His project experience includes the design of transportation projects, public parks and various urban spaces and plazas. These urban spaces include corporate complexes, retail centers, urban transportation facilities and entertainment venues. He has led his team of professionals from the initial design conception through the preparation of construction documents and on-site construction management activities. Mr. Tatsumi has a broad and extensive knowledge base which enables him to create the overall “vision” of a project and to develop the minute construction details necessary to realize that “vision”. In addition, he contributes to coordinating the overall work for the projects, monitoring progress, coordinating the entire project team, overseeing the quality assurance program and serving as the primary liaison between the firm and the client.
